The Philips OneBlade Cup in FIFA 21 is in the starting blocks – it starts next Tuesday! Are you registered for the Open Qualifier, but still have a few questions about the procedure on the tournament platform Challengermode? Don’t worry. Here we go through the most important points again so that everyone can find their way around the OneBlade Cup.

I am registered for a tournament. What now?

It is important that you confirm your participation in order to receive a slot for the respective tournament. If you are on the overview page of your tournament, you will see a timer in the upper right corner directly above the “Join tournament” button, which shows the remaining time until the start of the tournament. There you will also find the button “confirm participation” with a timer that indicates when you can confirm your participation. The confirmation period begins 60 minutes before the start of the tournament. That means: If the tournament starts at 6 p.m. you can confirm your participation from 5 p.m.

So: don’t forget to check-in! Possible from 60 minutes before the start of the tournament. If you have successfully confirmed your participation, all you have to do is wait for the tournament to start.

The tournament has started. How do I find my opponent?

Check-in closes at 5:59 p.m. and the tournament tree is created. This may take several minutes. As soon as the tournament tree is up and your opponent has been determined for the first round, the button “confirm participation” becomes the button “go to game”. If you click on this button, you will be redirected to the Challengermode lobby. There you can see who your opponent is and you can start your match.

Tip: You can alternatively find your match by navigating to the tournament tree. You can find it by clicking on the “Bracket” tab in the tournament overview.

Important: If you do not go to the Challengermode lobby of your match within ten minutes, you will automatically be disqualified and your opponent will win. This rule is important for a smooth tournament. This will avoid long delays in tournaments due to no-shows.

My match was played. What do I have to consider when reporting the result?

After you have finished playing, you have to report the result in your Challengermode match. It is important to note:

  • Report the overall result at the end of your best-of-2 match, not after every single game.
  • Each player must take a screenshot of the final results screen of each individual game, clearly showing the 90 minute game time and all other information on the screen. This is the only way for the tournament admins to have proof that the results are actually correct.
  • You don’t know how to take a screenshot on the PlayStation 4? Then please have a look at this article.
  • If you have reported a result and your opponent has not, make sure that you have uploaded evidence (screenshots) and contact one of the tournament admins.
  • In the event of a dispute, each game should be recorded using the PlayStation 4 built-in recording function.
  • If both players dispute the result and neither can provide suitable evidence, both players can be given a default loss.

There are problems. How do I contact a tournament administrator?

Fast and clear communication is the key to a smoothly running tournament. If you have any problems you can contact the administrators who will help you in the Discord channel of the OneBlade Cup. Important: communication outside the listed official Discord server will be ignored by the admin team. Please only use the approved communication channels. Each player should be on the OneBlade Cup Discord server throughout the tournament so that they can be easily reached by the tournament admins.
